Honest Reviews

You may have seen my separate blog post on my product review policy.  Here are some of the highlights:

I would LOVE to review mom and toddler related stuff.  I will do it without taking any money, but rather just an honest review for exchange of the product.  And if it's something I really don't like, I would NOT slam it online AT ALL.  Instead, if it's not something that is going to get at least a 3 out 5 star type review, I just won't review it online and send you back the product.  This is just the most honest way I can think of doing this without hurting anyone's feelings and/or reputation.  BUT, on that note, I typically like things.

What type of things?  I love books of all kinds for me and my daughter, anti-GMO, organic, handcrafted, knit, sewn, Made in the USA, and anything that might make my life easier.

If you are interested in this type of old fashioned type of Mom Blog Reviews, you can contact me at
JAMIE at BOURGEOISBABY dot COM.  Or if you want to just say hi, or whatever.

So, with that said, have you noticed there aren't many reviews on this blog? It's likely because many other Mom blog reviews are paid.  I have recently entered the mom blogosphere, and was very surprised that many of them are "sponsored" or compensated in some way.  When I started my own company, I had approached other mom bloggers with the offer of reviewing my wares in exchange for free product.  With the exception of one blogger, I was turned down.  They also wanted money on top of free product.  Now, I know that many moms make a living this way, and I don't begrudge anyone trying to make a living and be able to care for their children.  But, it's just not the way I want to do things.

I think that the best way I can review something is being compensated by only receiving free product.  I think that money on top of that might influence my opinions, and would skew a review.

If you think that having your product reviewed under this personal policy as I described above is for you, don't hesitate to contact me.
